Freestylo (Фристайло) – an epic kazakh akyn (“ақын”, Kazakh folk poet and singer). He became famous on the talent show Superstar KZ (Superstar France prototype). In March 2007, the respective video, from the show, was all over Youtube.
Young kazakh man presented himself as Ernar (kazakh translation – “courageous camel”). His full name is Ernar Kaldynov (Russian: Ернар Калдынов). He lives in the Ust-Kamenogorsk (Russian: Усть-Каменогорск) oblast. Ernar played something that reminded eurodance (experts say that it was Culture Beat by Mr. Vain) on dombra and was cheerfully reading some text.
The combination of this talented young man’s image, dombra and the music itself brought lots of entertainment. Almost instantly 9000 remixes appeared. While the akyn himself became popular all over the world, overshadowing Borat, and turned into a hero in native steppes.
Freestylo appeared one more time on the contest’s Super Final and caused a storm of applause.
He played frank notes on a simple but touching song about love. It turned out that simple words were enough to win all hearts.

Super Final Live:
Original song (?). Kazakhstan pop music singer R.Lizer – Freestailo:
Mon lit OK encore
Des délices sous les draps
Mais je crains que pour tout ça
Tu doives entendre…
Again, not a brand new song or a very popular one… but does that really matter?
“Kugutsu e” (Puppet Drawing) by The GazettE.
“Kugutsue” is a song from the single Guren (2008). “Guren” (Crimson Lotus) is a maxi-single by The GazettE. It was released in two editions; the “Optical Impression” edition and “Auditory Impression” edition, the first coming with a DVD containing the music video for the song “Guren”, and the second with a bonus track. All lyrics written by Ruki, all music composed by The GazettE.
Although, I am not a big fan of a heavy music, I just really like the female vocal parts here.
Lyrics:
Puppet drawing
The picture of loneliness that I saw in mixed colors
Is melting before my eyes skillfully it’s taking off its shell
Manipulated by the addiction to the ideal of incontinence
I can’t even keep the balance in my skull
“Something is laughing”
I’m getting distorted while losing you
I entrust my neck to a tangled intention
Affection on the surface.
Peel off pretence !
Because of my shame that I ripped of
I’m fainting in agony, this unpainted face is distorted by the truth
“Something is laughing”
I’m decorating these feelings of sorrow
This unpleasant existence is calling out for nausea
Affection on the surface.
Peel off pretence !
I’m unable to grasp your reaching hand My thoughts are scattering and melting together
The fading days are gazing at these pictures that wither and die
For you even the printed dreams will disappear
You are in a part of the gear.
Before long I start trembling from something that is stuck in my throat
I know that in the light which was given are shadows
Those inexperienced days are smashed up I’m heavily burdened in my sleep
I get confused by knowing that nothing can save me
Suddenly I’m drained I’m dreaming and
Although it keeps on pressing me down An error is deep…
The tears overflow after such a long time
I’m unable to grasp your reaching hand My thoughts are scattering and melting together
The fading days are gazing at these pictures that wither and die
As long as my voice is flaking off it can’t be heard “anymore”
You, who knows this pain, will soon plant the seeds here once again
You hope that the flowers that changed their colors will bloom someday
You, who knows this pain, could you pour water on them without trembling
The colorful flowers you have never seen are calling out for you again
You are in a part of the gear.

A few weeks ago, I ran into this really nice song called “What Else Is There?” by Röyksopp feat. Dreijer Andersson from The Knife.
“What Else Is There?” is the third single from the Norwegian duo Röyksopp’s second album The Understanding. It features the vocals of Karin Dreijer Andersson from the electronica duo The Knife.
“What Else Is There?” also spawned noted remixes from Vitalic, Trentemøller, and Stuart Price.
The video features model Marianne Schröder with a cameo by Karin Dreijer Andersson. In the video it is Schröder who is depicted to be performing the song, not Dreijer.
The song is also featured in the movie Meet Bill, where the likes of Jessica Alba and Aaron Eckhart smoke marijuana while listening to it.
I just really like this song, it’s on my Favorite List on the MP3 currently.
They’re really awesome, and I was so surprised to find that those three songs
mentioned above characterize the current me so well. It is probably the first time lyrics were so close to me. At least, I don’t remember another experience.
Another thing that wowed me is that the band’s origin is Versailles. I adore
Versailles. Really.
